Julie Ann Sargent Logan

Bangor & Winterport - Julie Ann Sargent Logan passed away May 25, 2017 after suffering for seven years from the progressive ravages of Alzheimer’s disease. Julie was born in Bangor in 1949 to Robert and Corinne Sargent. She graduated from Bangor High School in 1967 and went on to attend the University of Maine. Julie worked most of her life at various pursuits and spent 20 years with Gilbert Tweed International, a New York based executive search firm. Julie was fortunate enough to work with her great and best friend Joan Simpson. During this time, she also had the opportunity to travel the world while successfully recruiting for many Fortune 500 clients. Julie married John Logan in 1971. They then spent the next 37 years in Winterport making a home, and raising their family, in a yellow cape with a view of the Penobscot River from across the road, through the trees, in the wintertime, on a clear day. Julie cared deeply about the town of Winterport and was active in the Winterport Woman’s Club serving twice as president of the organization.

Julie was predeceased by both her parents, as well as her brother, Christopher Sargent, and her niece, Erin Woolley. She is survived by her husband John, her daughter, Kate Logan Yerxa, her husband Rob, and their two daughters Zoe and Phoebe of Old Town, her son Andrew and wife Claire Anderson of Wilmington, Delaware, her sister, Nan Sargent Woolley and her husband Russ of Bangor, their son Kyle and his wife Emily of Chicago, Illinois, as well as several nieces and nephews.
