Brewer - Jeffrey A. "Jeff" Francis, 64, died Aug. 14, 2017 in Bangor after a brief illness. He was born Sept 19, 1952 in Woodbury, TN, the son of James D. Francis and Rachel B. Kirby. Jeff was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1970 where he played football and was a graduate of the Univ. of Maine where he played tennis. Jeff served with the US Army more than 20 years retiring as a reservist. His work history covered several jobs including working as an insurance adjuster for several years. Jeff enjoyed coaching PAL basketball and Little League baseball and loved the time he spent hunting with his friends David Brooks, Bernie Lindsay, Robert Olesky and Bill Reese. He will also be missed and remembered by his dear friends, Butch Robichaud, Tony Severance and Bob Fortier.

Surviving are two brothers, Joe Francis and his wife, JoAnn of Woodbury, Tennessee and Greg Kirby and his wife, Amanda of Readfield; nieces and nephews, Misty Powell and her husband, Johnnie and Stacie Bryson and her husbnad, Michael both of Woodbry, TN and Miles Kirby of  Readfield,  Lane, Cullen, Jonathan, Charles and Carson all of Tennessee; three aunts, Gladys Hayes, Drunell Higgins and Dean Barker all of Tennessee. He was predeceased by his parents and several aunts and uncles.

Family and friends may visit 6 – 8 PM Friday, Aug. 18, 2017 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. Private burial will be at a later date. Messages and memories may be shared with his family at kileyandfoley.com.
