Saturday, October 28, 2017Dear Kathy, I feel sorry for you but surely not for Al. We all know where he is now and for eternity. Al was the most giving person I have ever met. Always looking to be helpful whether he knew you or not. One could not have a better friend. I will always cherish the memories of Al and the rest of the St. Mary's Choir. God bless you, Kathy. I wish you well. Shaun Dowd

Thursday, October 26, 2017I was shocked to read about Al's passing today. I played softball with him for a number of years for the world famous St . Mary's team. He was friendly to me, was a good player, and would see him from time to time at St. Mary's. I hope that other members of the softball team will go to the service on Saturday. I didn't get to know him as well as other members of the team, but he was well liked and respected by all. The last time I saw him was at the lobby of the Cancer Care of Me. I was dealing with a medical issue and was reporting in, when I saw him arrive with another person. I wasn't able to get his attention, so I hoped I would see him another day. My deepest sympathies to the family, he was a good man.
