Brewer – Dorothy M. “Dot” Pelkey, 95, wife of the late George W. Pelkey, died February 11, 2016 at her home in Brewer. She was born Nov. 26, 1920 in Brewer, the daughter of Wilfred and Angeline (Gaudet) Soucie. She was a graduate of Brewer High School, Class of 1938. Dot was a career civil service employee with various agencies of the federal government for 34 years. After her retirement, she traveled extensively abroad. She especially enjoyed ocean cruises with many interesting ports of call. Dot was a lifetime communicant of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Brewer She served as a member of the parish council for 6 years and was also a volunteer doing occasional clerical work at the rectory for 10 years. She was predeceased by her husband and by a brother, Carroll J. “Kuthchie” Soucie. She is survived by several cousins and friends and was grateful for the care she received from those who made it possible for her to live out her dream to die in her home. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Friday, Feb. 26, 2016 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Teresa’s Catholic Church, So. Main St., Brewer. Burial will be at Mt.
