Obituary of Jane Carol Cyr

Bangor—Jane Carol Cyr died April 17, 2016, at her home in Bangor. She was born September 6, 1952, to Charles W. and Lorraine (Jordan) Roberts. Jane graduated from Brewer High School, Class of 1971. Growing up, she enjoyed watching the Red Sox with her father. She worked as a waitress for many years at Olive Garden and most recently at Oriental Jade. She was a very popular waitress with all of her regular customers. Jane enjoyed gardening and using her computer, especially chatting with friends on Facebook. She enjoyed dining out, going to movies and taking walks with her boyfriend Michael, who made her the happiest she had been in a long time. Jane will be remembered for being a nurturer and taking care of those forgotten souls that most people failed to notice. She required so little but gave so much. She was predeceased by her father and a special aunt, Marian Haldane. Jane is survived by her boyfriend Michael Sevigny of Old Town; daughter Julianna Cyr of Colorado; son Jesse Cyr of Bangor; a much loved grandson Dean of Colorado; mother Lorraine of Brewer; sister Ruth Ellen and husband Michael of Brewer; brother Bruce Roberts and wife Mary of Brewer; nieces Alexandra Roberts and Jennifer Crate; nephew Christopher Roberts; many friends and regular restaurant customers. Family and friends are invited to visit 4-6 p.m. Thursday, April 21, 2016, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, April 22, at Woodlawn Cemetery, Brewer. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the Bangor Area Homeless Shelter, 263 Main St., Bangor, ME 04401.
