Obituary of Austin C. Look
Hampden & Mt. Jackson, VA – Austin C. Look, 72, husband of the late Sarah “Sally” (Pelkey) Look, died January 19, 2022 at Blue Ridge Hospice in Winchester, Virgina. He was born July 7, 1949 in Whiting, Maine, the son of the late Austin W. and Dorothy B. Look.
Austin was a graduate of Washington Academy and attended Eastern Maine Vocational Technical Institute, (now EMCC). He worked for many years in machinery and construction. Austin loved to go fishing and camping with Sally, his Special Lady. She was his true love and soulmate and missed her dearly. They are finally reunited once again in Heaven.
Austin is survived by his daughter, Terry Moomaw and her husband Stacy of Mt. Jackson, VA, stepson Brad Smith and wife Lisa of Watertown, NY, two stepdaughters, Jessica Johnson and husband Brett of Holden, ME, Jody McPhail and husband Chad of Perry, ME; grandchildren, Joshua, Sarah, Ryan, Evan, Ben, Bryan, Ian, Rowan, Mason; great grandson Mason James; several nieces and nephews, and only surviving sibling, Maryann Look Clark.
Family and friends may visit 2:00 to 4:00 PM Monday, January 31, 2022 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a service honoring his life will be held at 4:00 PM as the visitation concludes. Burial will be at Lakeview Cemetery, Hampden in the spring. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to The American Cancer Society.
