

Obituary of Clarence M. Hallee
Clarence M. Hallee, 94, died April 13, 2025 in Bangor. He was born September 2, 1930 in Waterville, Maine, the son of Albert V. Hallee and Leonie A. (Audet) Hallee.
Chuck was educated in Waterville, finishing his education at the Notre Dame Institute in Alfred Maine. Chuck spent time in Montreal, Canada attending college and teaching. Soon after Chuck enlisted in the Air Force where he took part in various missions serving honorably during the Korean war as a navigator and a translator being fluent in French, also serving honorably in the Vietnam War. While in the Air National Guard, Chuck was the Weapon System Officer/Navigator in the F-89. Family often joked "he was a back seat driver"! Chuck spent 25 years with the Air Force and Air National Guard retiring at the rank of Major.
When Chuck joined the National Guard that brought him to Bangor, Maine where he went to work at WABI. He met Carolyn "Joy" Richard there and they were married in 1963. They celebrated their 62nd wedding anniversary this past February.
Chuck and Joy started Maine Valve and Fitting Company in Bangor in 1967 and after 28 wonderful years they retired.
They were members of St John's Catholic Church where Chuck was a Eucharistic Minister and Lector. He enjoyed being a Eucharistic Minister at the Maine Veterans Home as well.
In addition to his parents, Chuck was predeceased by his sister Priscilla Riley, and sister Celeste Goldrup. Surviving in addition to his wife Carolyn "Joy" Hallee, is his daughter Karen Day and her husband Howard Day of Hampden, Maine and daughter Theresa "Terri" Neal and her husband James Neal of Hyde Park, NY, grandchildren Katelin Day, Kristina Vachon, Kara Day, Jared Neal and Alex Neal. Very dear to Chuck's heart were his great-granddaughters London Foster and Dahlia Vachon. Chuck is also survived by his brothers Eugene "Roger" Hallee, Waterville, Maine, Terence "Terry" Hallee, Winslow, Maine, Jerome "Jerry" Hallee, Amherst, NS, Bernard "Bernie" Hallee and wife Sandy, Austin, Texas, and Marlene Hallee, Mesa, Arizona and many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 1:00 PM Wednesday, April 23, 2025 at St Paul the Apostle Parish, St John's Catholic Church, York St., Bangor where Mass will be livestreamed from the parsih website HERE. A reception will be immediately following in the church hall. Burial will be in the Maine Veterans' Memorial Cemetery in Augusta.
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to remember Chuck may make a memorial donation to the charity of their choice.
