We were part of the Scottish Terrier Club of New England Rescue team for years, along with Kathryn.
Kathryn was funny, had common sense, and the most loyal friend.
We take comfort that when Kathryn crossed the bridge ,all her Scotties were waiting at the bridge for her.
She will be missed greatly by her Scottie friends.

Kathryn was a true friend. We enjoyed many trips to the STCNE banquets in Sturbridge MA and visited her as often as we could at her home in Eddington. We were kindred spirits through love for our Scotties, music and good conversation. We feel fortunate to have known and loved such a wise, kind, welcoming and fun-loving person. We trust that Kathryn had a smooth transition from this life to the next. We will treasure our memories of good times we shared together. Barb and Sandi - friends from Nova Scotia

On behalf of the University of Maine, we share our deep gratitude for the life and legacy of Kathryn Ann Foley.
While I did not have the privilege of knowing Kathryn personally, many of our faculty and emeritus colleagues did. They speak of her with great affection and respect as a gifted pianist, a devoted teacher, and a generous colleague whose musicianship and humanity shaped the musical life of this university for decades. Her work with students, ensembles, and fellow musicians reflected a deep belief in the power of music to connect people and to elevate everyday life.
Kathryn’s influence lives on in the countless students she taught, the colleagues she inspired, and the community she helped build through her quiet excellence and unwavering commitment. We are grateful for all she gave to UMaine, and for the enduring mark she left on our School of Performing Arts.
Our thoughts are with her family and loved ones, and with all who had the good fortune to learn from, perform with, and know her.

Kathryn Ann was an esteemed colleague at the UMaine Music Division for much of the 38 years I taught there. During my first years teaching at UMaine, she went the extra mile for me as my accompanist while I was still finishing my doctoral recitals at Indiana University; at one point traveling to Bloomington, IN to perform with me. This was difficult music, and Kathryn tirelessly put in the extra prep time without complaint. I remain forever grateful for her help and friendship.

I am so sorry to hear of Kathryn Ann’s passing.
She was my piano teacher when I was a student at the Northern Conservatory and we were fellow faculty members in the University of Maine School of Performing Arts.
She was a great musician, teacher and friend and I will always remember her for her dedication and work ethic. She inspired me whenever she played the piano. She was so musical. She was never one to talk about her great accomplishments, letting her outstanding performances speak for themselves.
With all of her great accomplishments she never forgot about her love of Winterport, Maine. I taught in that community for a time and Kathryn Ann would always attend Winterport events, even when she was living in Eddington. She was so proud of her native roots
My heart goes out to her relatives and close friends. We all know that she was one of a kind.
