Obituary of David A. Dumont
BREWER – David A. Dumont, 71, passed away on March 18, 2026 peacefully at his home after a short, courageous battle with an aggressive cancer. He was born June 20, 1954 in Van Buren, Maine, the son of the late Alyre Dumont and Patricia (Ayotte) Dumont. He was raised in Van Buren and graduated from Van Buren High School in 1972.
Dave was a master plumber for 45 years and was often sought out for his work. When he wasn’t working you could usually find Dave on the golf course. An outgoing jokester, he will be missed by his work friends, golf buddies and fellow car enthusiasts.
He is survived, and will be greatly missed, by his three children, Crystal Beaulieu and her husband, Gregg of Frenchville; Amy Murphy and her husband, David of Bradley; and Derek Dumont of Bangor; three grandchildren, Kaleb Murphy, Max Beaulieu, and Kaley Murphy; five siblings, John Dumont of Madawaska, Linda Dumont of Bristol, CT, Donna Hill of Henderson, KY, Mark Dumont of Madawaska, and Vicki Schaeffer of Bristol, CT, along with many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, Dave was predeceased by one sister, Carol Cyr in 2025.
Per Dave’s request, there will be no funeral. A celebration of life will be held at a later date. Messages and memories may be shared with his family here on the kileyandfoley.com tribute wall.
