Obituary of Wendell A. Thayer

Wendell Alton Thayer III, age 50, passed away June 8, 2026, leaving behind a loving family. He was born March 2, 1976, in Bangor, the son of Wendell and Ethel (Bubar) Thayer.

Wendell was a proud Kenworth employee who found his greatest joy outdoors, especially when hunting.

He is deeply missed by his wife, Donna Thayer; his son, Devin Thayer; his stepdaughter, Courtney Latourette; his mother, Ethel Thayer; and his sister, Lue Currier and her husband, Walter. He also leaves behind a niece, Sarah and a niece, Amanda; a great-niece, Ryleigh and a great-nephew, Alex; his nephew, Guy; great-nieces, Katie, Makayla, and Cheyenne; and an uncle, George. He will be remembered by his cousins and close friends. He was predeceased by his father, Wendell Thayer; a brother, Wendell Thayer Jr., his grandmother, Lunette; his uncle, Alfred; and aunt, Linda and uncle, Butch.
