Obituary of Timothy R. O'Neill
Timothy Robert O'Neill, 66, of Dandridge, Tennessee, passed away unexpectedly on February 5, 2026, while working in Selma, Alabama.
Born January 30, 1960, in Bangor, Maine, Tim was the son of John O'Neill and Phyllis Stone. He was a proud graduate of Bangor High School and began his career in civil construction as a carpenter. In 1995, Tim joined SW&B as a Civil Superintendent. In 2012, he moved to American Industrial Construction, where he served as both Project Superintendent and Project Manager. Over his career, Tim led many major projects in the pulp and paper industry, as well as other manufacturing facilities across the United States. He was highly respected by customers for his execution skills and built long-standing relationships with the people he managed and worked alongside. His work ethic and integrity left a lasting mark on everyone he met.
When Tim wasn't working, you could find him on the golf course or outside by his fire pit grilling ribs and enjoying a fire with his pups, Slick and Jake, by his side. He was a great cook, and everyone loved his ribs, spaghetti, and pizza. Tim was a sports fan through and through, especially cheering on his favorite team, Notre Dame. He loved sports of all kinds. He liked enjoying his boat through the summer and, most of all, being with his family on his time off.
Tim is survived by his wife, Linda O'Neill; his daughter, Heather O'Neill; his grandson, Keegan O'Neill; three granddaughters, Elijah Foss, Savanna O'Neill, and Kaitlyn Shany; and great-grandson, Leo James Heitman. He is also survived by his brother, John O'Neill; his sisters, Kathleen Kramer, Peg O'Neill, and Robbie (Jim) Gildart of Ellsworth; along with several nieces, nephews, family, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, John O'Neill; his mother, Phyllis Stone; his son, Timothy O'Neill, Jr., also known as TJ; his brothers, Danny O'Neill, Eddie O'Neill, and his twin, Jim O'Neill; his sisters, Janet Dunigan and Ellie O'Neill; and his brother-in-law, Jeff Kramer.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM, Wednesday, July 22, 2026, at St. Paul The Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, York St., Bangor, with a burial to follow at Pine Grove Cemetery at 12:30 PM and Celebration of Life at 2:00 PM at the Hilton Garden Inn, Haskell Road, Bangor.
