Obituary of Judie A. Grant

Judie A. Grant, 76, wife of the late Emery S. Grant, passed July 12, 2026 in Bangor. She was born in Calais April 19, 1950.

Judie was a graduate of Brewer High School and EMVTI in Bangor and worked for many years as a licensed practical nurse. During her retirement years, Judie was active in her community doing volunteer work and especially enjoyed her work and time at the Bangor Elks Club, B.P.O.E Lodge #244, Bangor.

Surviving are three children, Douglas Grant and his wife, Rebecca of Hampden, Robert Grant of Bangor and Suzy Bullett of Berthoud, Colorado; one sister, Joan Monk and her husband, Lloyd of Cotyville, ME; several nieces and nephews including a nephew that she was especially fond of, David “Daisy Mae” Grant. She was predeceased by her husband in 1997 and by two brothers, Allen and Ronald Perry and two sisters, Gail Higgins and Barbara Coates.

A celebration of Judie’s life will be held 1 – 4 PM Sunday, July 19, 2026 at the Bangor Elks Lodge, 108 Odlin Road, Bangor. Burial will be with her husband at 1:00 PM Thursday, August 20, 2026 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 143 Blue Star Ave, Augusta.
