Obituary of Helen B. Hatch

Helen B. Hatch Bangor – Helen B. Hatch, 92, wife of the late George W. Hatch, died Nov. 20, 2015 at a Bangor hospital. She was born Feb. 28, 1923 in Bancroft, the daughter of George and Nettie (Yorke) Bragg. Helen worked as an Avon Representative for many years and enjoyed going door to door and visiting the local nursing homes. When she knew a customer couldn't afford what they loved she would sell it to them at her cost but always maintained her Presidential Status every year. She was a member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor. Surviving are three children, Richard Hatch and his wife, Debbie of So. Carolina, Laverne Buck and her husband, Phil of Carmel, Deborah Goldman of North Carolina; several grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband in 1996 and by sons, Robert McLaughlin, Dale McLaughlin and daughter, Lieucella Denning. She was the youngest and last remaining of 14 siblings. Family and friends may visit 4- 6 PM Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2015 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor where a Funeral Liturgy will be held at 6 PM as the visitation concludes. Burial will be Wednesday at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive, Augusta. The family would like to extend heartfelt thanks to the EMMC 3rd floor nurses Bobbi Jo and Erin and Dr. Jim and other staff for their compassionate care they gave. Also, to a special niece Lisa who stayed by her Nana's side.
