Joyce A. Mooney
Bangor - Joyce A. Mooney, 73, wife of Jim A. Mooney, passed away peacefully January 4, 2017 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born February 20, 1943 in Bangor, the daughter of William and Mary (Spellman) Arbuckle.
Joyce worked in the Bangor area for many years in hospitality and would be remembered by most for her time working at the IGA Supermarket and the IGA Coffee Shop in Brewer or Jimmy’s Place in Bangor. She was a dedicated and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, sister and homemaker who will be dearly missed.
Surviving are her husband, Jim A. Mooney of Bangor; two children, Daniel Andrews and his wife, Theresa of Clearwater, FL and Lisa Mooney of Bangor; three grandchildren, Justin, Robert and Shawn Andrews all of Clearwater, FL; one sister, Mary Kay Ayer and her husband, Michael of Holden and four brothers, William Arbuckle and his wife, Peggy of Penobscot, Michael Arbuckle and his wife, Joanne of Hampden, Timothy Arbuckle of Brewer and Douglas Arbuckle of Largo, FL; a sister-in-law, Sheila Perry of Hampden; several nieces and one nephew. In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by a sister, Margaret “Peggy” Weber. Joyce’s family gratefully thanks New Hope Hospice for their excellent care that they provided to Joyce and her family.
Joyce requested that no formal services be held.
