To All Family Members of Leo:
I was saddened, to just today, receive the news of your Dad's passing. He truly was a fine and dedicated family man whose sense of humor was contagious! I will always remember him fondly and I will also remember the excellent advise he would sometimes give me when he came to visit.
Please except my sincere condolences. May you find comfort in knowing that he is now at peace.

To Ruth and the Thayer family: Jack Clifford informed me of Leo's passing. It saddened me greatly. I was privileged to work with Leo on the Al Corey Orchestra. What a fine musician, gentleman, and schoolman! We always had fun and made good music!
I also was privileged to take clarinet lessons from Leo Sr! He came to New England Music Camp for a month to sub for the ailing Bob Cook. Leo, Sr. taught me how to play the clarinet introduction to Rhapsody In Blue! I have used this glissando all my professional life! And when I got to meet Leo, Jr, , I reminded him of this reminiscence! And so, I became influenced by both of those fine musicians! And my life was enriched thereby!
I am still working, at age 79. Had a stroke, but was medicated in time, and I still can play all the Dixieland and swing tunes. Don't gig as much as I used to--doctor's orders.
God bless. And may all the reeds run right in Paradise!
Your friend, Ted Casher

Bob and Dave,
My deepest condolences. I spent many a happy day at your house back in the 60's. Your father was always cheerful and welcoming of me whenever I was there, and he left a lasting impression on me as I'm sure he did with many others. A truly good man in all respects.

Dear Ruth and Family
We in the Bangor Band are so very sorry for your loss. Leo was such a treasure to us and we are most fortunate to have had him in the Band for so many years. I used to love to watch and hear him play Dixieland because he was always having so much fun. I will fondly remember his smiles and patience. When he was ready to retire as secretary, he mentored me to take over and was always there for me with advice and praise. I can still hear him say, "You're a good girl!". I will treasure the memories of his friendship and keep you and your family in my heart.
~Dianna
