Obituary of Todd William Cray

Brewer - Todd W. Cray, 49, loving father of Meghan and Dylan, passed away July 18 at home after a short but brave struggle with pancreatic cancer.

Todd was born on Oct. 30, 1967 the son of William and Linda (Garnett) Cray. He graduated from Brewer High School in 1986 and has many lifelong friends from his hometown community. His ability to sustain relationships was the foundation of a successful and rewarding career in sales. Not long after graduation from the University of Maine in 1991 he began working for Applicators Sales & Service and remained with this family of companies until his last days.

Todd lived life to the fullest and supported the activities in which his children were involved and participated in many of his own including fishing, hunting, golfing, and playing cribbage. He was grateful for the friendships that he formed through his professional life and said that the various trips he went on with friends and business associates meant more to him than the pursuit of fish or game.  He volunteered for several youth organizations including Maine Freeze Youth Hockey, serving the organization in coaching and administrative capacities including President.

In addition to his children and parents, he is survived by his sister Amy Fitzgerald and her husband Richard; niece Marin Fitzgerald; grandmother Phyllis Garnett; aunt Jackie Willinski; uncle George Garnett and his wife Rachel; as well as many cousins and their families. The loss of Todd leaves a large gap in his friends and family member's lives but he leaves us with heartwarming (and some highly entertaining) memories. He also leaves us his bright, talented children who he has proudly raised into successful young adults.
