Obituary of Ellen E. Sargent
Bangor--Ellen Elizabeth (Villard) Sargent, 92, passed away peacefully Dec. 7, 2017 after a brief illness. She was born June 19, 1925, the daughter of Charles and Mildred (Bailey) Villard.
Ellen was a lifelong resident of Bangor. She was a graduate of St. Mary’s Parochial School and John Bapst High School. She was a 65 year member of the Daughters of Isabella, Ave Maria Circle 422, where she served as an officer until the age of 90. Ellen served as a Eucharistic Minister at St. Mary’s Church. She will be remembered for her beautiful smile, infectious laugh and deep commitment to her family.
Ellen was predeceased by her parents; husband Daniel B. Sargent in 2001; loving granddaughter, Julie Beaulieu Chronister in 2015; brothers Raymond, Donald, and Charles. She is survived by five children: Daniel B. Sargent Jr. and wife Deb of San Antonio, TX, Charles Sargent and significant other Carol Hartley of Hermon, Thomas Sargent and significant other Susan Willows of Bangor, Susan Beaulieu and husband Jeffrey of Duck, NC, and Judy Cardimino and husband Brent of Dedham; six grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers the family requests that donations be made in Daniel and Ellen’s name to “Love that School! The Campaign for John Bapst”, 100 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401.
Family and friends are invited to visit 10-11:30 AM, Wednesday, December 13, 2017, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated following the visitation at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor. Burial will follow at Mt.
