Obituary of John R. Rogan

Dedham & Bangor—John R. "Jack" Rogan, 88, passed away at home in Lucerne-in-Maine December 14, 2017. He was born September 19, 1929, to William and Mary (O'Leary) Rogan. Jack attended local schools and graduated from John Bapst High School. He was the third generation owner and operator of Rogan's Memorials on Ohio St. in Bangor. He enjoyed boating and fishing on the lake. He loved a good Irish whiskey! Jack most enjoyed spending time with family and friends at the lake.

He was predeceased by his parents and infant daughter Patsy. Jack is survived by his loving wife Helene (Cameron) Rogan; daughters Ann Rogan-Fossett, Kathryn and husband Jon Beausang, Mary Rogan-Gordon and husband Howard; son J. Michael Rogan; grandchildren Jacqueline Rogan, Michael J. Rogan, Zachary Fossett, Elizabeth and husband Sean Brosnihan, Kelly J. and husband Glenn Aho; great-grandchildren Kahlan and Chase; special cousin Nadine Hoyt; many friends and business associates.

In keeping with Jack's wishes, a celebration of life/big party will be held at his home, 19 Ash Road, Lucerne. from 1 - 4 PM Saturday, June 23, 2018. A private burial for family will take place at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor. Messages and memories may be shared with the family at kileyandfoley.com.
