I worked for John early in my career and will always remember him as one of my best supervisors. He always had a good positive attitude which contributed to a great work day. He kept things on a happy note.
My condolences go out to his large family which he loved very much and especially to Fran who stuck by his side through his career and his loving wife, we'll miss him.

Dear Fran and Family,
Ron and I are saddened by your loss of John. During our time in Brewer, John could always be counted on for a warm smile and a kind word. I can still remember the coffee and bagel mornings after church and discovering that John was my step-grandfather's nephew. It was a privilege to have spent time with you both .
May he rest in peace. God bless you and your family during this time.

It was a sad moment when I heard that Mr. Achorn lost the battle. As they often say he is in a better place. Never have been "there" I can only agree that it is better as there is no more pain or sickness. We will cross paths again when our time comes but in the mean time good memories will be something we all have to hold onto. For the whole Achorn family members, the Jones family sends their warm hugs and great thoughts from those memories of Broadlawn Drive.
