Obituary of Eleanor T. Ladd

Eleanor Tozier Ladd left this earth on April 22, 2018, after a brief illness.  She was born February 22, 1925 in Andover, Maine, daughter of Carl and Lillian Ellingwood Tozier.  During her long life, Eleanor was a resident of Greenville, Rockwood and Farmington, Maine.  In 1968, the family moved to North Ft. Myers, Florida where she resided for over 35 years while spending summers in Maine.

She enjoyed reading, playing cards, games, crafts and most of all, her family.  Eleanor was predeceased by her husband Philip C. Ladd, Sr. who died in 1997, her daughter Sandra Ladd who died in 2001, her brother Harold Tozier and sister Rachel Spaulding.

She is survived by a son, Philip Ladd, jr. (Buster), Janet Ladd Alberts and her husband Andrew of Woodbridge, Virginia, Eleanor Ladd Chambers (Peggi) and her husband Richard of Avondale, Arizona, and Catherine Billings of Rockwood, Maine, four grandchildren and five great grandchildren.  A graveside memorial service and burial will take place 1 PM Wednesday, May 16, 2018 at the Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Civic Center Drive,  Augusta, Maine, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband and daughter.

The family would like to thank the staff of The Woodlands in Brewer, Ross Manor in Bangor, Eastern Maine Medical and Beacon Hospice, who gave her such kind and gentle care.
