Obituary of Barbara M. Jamieson

ELLSWORTH - Barbara M. (Fessenden) Jamieson, 93, wife of Allen Elliott Jamieson, Sr., died May 7, 2018 in Ellsworth. She was born March 27, 1925 in Bangor, the daughter of Everett and Mary (Blake) Fessenden.

Barbara was a devout Catholic, attending St. Mary's Church much of her life, and singing in the choir in her youth. She was much loved by her family. She and her husband loved the time they spent at Green Lake and, following their retirement, the time they spent in Florida. She fought bravely and strongly during her brief illness.

She was predeceased by her parents; two sons, William Jamieson and Allen Elliott Jamieson, Jr.; niece Margaret (Fessenden) Prouty. Surviving in addition to her husband of 71 years, are granddaughter Michele Jamieson Zigrossi and husband Dominick of Walden, NY; grandson Chad Elliott Jamieson and wife Kristian of Holden; two great grandsons Nicholas Allen Zigrossi and Joseph Robert Zigrossi of Walden, NY; beloved daughter-in-law Catherine Gardner Jamieson of Holden; niece Linda Catterson and husband Richard; nephews Paul Fessenden Jr. and wife Louise, Donald Fessenden and wife Sandy, Richard Fessenden and wife Judy, and Joseph Fessenden and wife Lisa.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 2 PM Thursday, May 17, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor. Burial will follow the mass at Mt.
