Obituary of Evelyn A. Crocker

Holden - Mrs. Evelyn A. (Peloquin) Crocker passed away at her home in Holden on August 2, surrounded by her family.  Evelyn was born on July 18, 1940 to Doris (Mercier) and Bertrand Peloquin in Lowell, Massachusetts.  She graduated from St. Louis Academy in Lowell, Massachusetts, in 1958.  She married Richard Crocker in 1970, and subsequently moved to Holden.  She enjoyed cooking, baking, sewing, knitting, and weekends at their camp on Great Pond with her family.  She also loved caring for her grandchildren and great-granddaughter.  She was a member of St. Joseph’s Church in Brewer.

She is survived by her husband of 48 years Richard of Holden, her brother Joseph Bertrand Peloquin and wife Paula of Plymouth; children Mark Scholefield and wife Lisa of Ballston Lake, NY, David Scholefield of Lamoine, Barry Scholefield and wife Barbie of Kenduskeag; grandchildren Sara Hughes of Newport, ME, Kristopher Scholefield of Kenduskeag, Taylor Spellman of Clearwater, FL, Justen Scholefield of Lamoine, Bryce Zielinski of Ballston Lake, NY; great-granddaughter Nataly Fitzpatrick of Newport. 

Our family would like to offer special thanks and appreciation to all the nurses and volunteers who helped Evelyn over the last year.  Your help was priceless.

Family and friends may visit 5 – 7 PM Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018 in celebration of Evelyn’s life at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. In lieu of flowers, our family suggests a memorial contribution be made to VNA Home Health Hospice (http://vnahomehealth.org), or the Alzheimer’s Association.
