In addition to her parents, Myrtle was predeceased by her older sister Vella Donovan and brother-in-law Win Donovan of Washburn, and brother-in-law Dale Umphrey of Anchorage, Alaska.  She is survived by a younger sister, Mary Umphrey of Anchorage, Alaska.  Further, Myrtle is survived by her daughter Cynthia Churchill and son-in-law Nate of Brewer, along with son Dennis Ballard and companion Joyce Pratt of Hermon.  Other surviving family members include grandson Dean Churchill of Bangor, grandson James Churchill and wife Margaret of Hampden, granddaughter Alison Bailey and husband Troy of Hampden, and granddaughter Cindy Callender and husband Emile of South Portland.  Myrtle also had seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren.
