Eddington—Scott Anthony Sutherland, 60, passed away September 26, 2018, after a long illness. He was born August 25, 1958, the son of Perley and Eleanor (Worster) Sutherland. Scott enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and camping during his younger years. He helped coach his son's sports teams and enjoyed traveling with his wife, including trips to Las Vegas and Hawaii, and many camping trips. Scott's favorite place to be was on the golf course. He was an avid golfer and enjoyed spending time with his friends and his son on the course.

He was predeceased by his parents and his much loved wife Beth (Rogers). Scott is survived by son Shawn Sutherland; sister Kelley Bernard and husband Anthony; brother Gary Sutherland and fiancé Janice Woods; nieces Kaitlyn and Maeghan Bernard; friends Dennis Walls, Dan Herweg, Bob Tapley, John Kotredes, Steve Damon, and many others.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Junior PGA League, c/o Bangor Municipal Golf Course, 278 Webster Ave., Bangor, ME 04401

At Scott's request, a "beers instead of tears" celebration will be held 2-4 PM Sunday, October 7, 2018, at the Eastern Maine Snowmobile Club, 263 Levenseller Road, Holden.
