Bangor- Vivian (Butera) McKenna, 86, loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, died peacefully November 1, 2018 at her home surrounded by her family. She was born March 4, 1932 in Bangor the daughter of Lorenzo and Carmela (Capostagno) Butera. She was a lifelong resident of Bangor, was a devoted homemaker to her family and was a faithful communicant and choir member of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, Bangor.
Surviving are her 4 children: daughter; Carolyn Liebow with husband Robert of Rockport MA and their two children, son, Joshua with wife Susana, their 3 children Serena, Noah and Hunter from Wenham MA, daughter, Jessye of Boston, MA. Daughter; Maureen Tousignant with husband Thomas of Pewaukee, WI and their 5 children, son, Jonathan with wife Emily and their son Richard, daughter, Karissa, son, Brandon with wife Lucy and sons, Christopher and Timothy, all from WI. Son; Russell McKenna of Marlboro, MA. Son; Christopher with wife Rhonda and their 2 daughters Fallon and Kelsey, all from Mount Pleasant, SC; her sister, Carmela Spenser with husband Robert of Burlington, Ontario Canada; three sisters-in-law, Nonie, Alvina Butera of Bangor and Anna Butera of Brewer; many nieces and nephews. In addition to her beloved husband, Russell McKenna, Vivian was preceded in death by her five brothers, Charles, Benjamin, Raymond, Joseph and Lawrence Butera, two sisters-in-law, Norma and Rose Butera and a special nephew Joseph Butera.
Friends may visit 3-7PM Tuesday November 6, 2018 at Kiley and Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11AM Wednesday, November 7, 2018 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. John's Catholic Church, York St., Bangor. Interment to follow on Thursday November 8, 2018 at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery, Bangor. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude's Children's Research Hospital, 501 St Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105 or at stjude.org.
