Obituary of Lisa Louise Grant
Orrington--Lisa L. (Martin) Grant, 57, passed away unexpectedly Christmas Day in Gouldsboro. She was born Nov. 27, 1961, to Raynald and Jennie Martin.
A graduate of Brewer High School and the University of Maine, Lisa worked many years with Dahl Chase Diagnostic Services before taking on a new challenge in medical supply sales at Thermo Fisher Scientific. Many of her coworkers and employees became longtime friends.
Lisa loved her family beyond all else. She selflessly devoted her time and energy to supporting her loved ones. She married Mike Grant, the love of her life, on March 17, 2001 and quickly adopted his passion for the Anah Shriners. She took immense pride in her children, boasting about them at every opportunity. She was eagerly preparing for her son Jake's wedding this summer.
She was a world traveler, always looking forward to the next trip to Scotland, France or the Caribbean alongside her family or dear Shriner friends.
Lisa is survived by her parents; her adored husband; sons Nick and girlfriend Nyssa Gatcombe, Jake McCrea and fiancé Ellie Webb; daughter Erin Grant; sisters Denise Sawyer and husband Rick, Andrea Haskell and husband Charlie, Michelle Nyberg and husband Chris; seven nieces and nephews; one great-niece; three great-nephews; much loved in-laws Lawrence and Joyce Grant; brother-in-law Mark Grant; and grand-dogs Theo and Wish.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to Shriner's Hospital for Children, c/o Anah Shrine, 1404 Broadway, Bangor, ME 04401. The family also asks that those attending services wear purple in remembrance of Lisa’s favorite color.
Family and friends are invited to visit 3-7 PM Friday, January 4, 2019, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 299 Union St., Bangor. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Saturday, January 5, at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary's Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor. Burial will follow at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Ohio St., Bangor. Following the services, all are invited to the church hall for a reception.
