Obituary of Amy Marie McAvoy

Please share a memory of Amy to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Brewer--Amy M. McAvoy, 37, passed away unexpectedly March 9, 2020. She was born August 28, 1982, in Bangor, the daughter of Brian Allen and Shirley (Delcourt) McAvoy. Amy was a vibrant child with a contagious laugh that could consume a room! She was a carefree soul who made friends where ever she went. She would walk onto a playground alone and quickly be introducing you to her "new friends.” Amy loved her siblings Christina, Angel and Brian, so much so that she took them to show and tell. Amy graduated from Brewer High School in 2001 and became the proud mother of Brandon Thomas Aaron Pinkham on July 2, 2006. Brandon immediately became the center of her universe and she continued the show and tell trend by proudly showing him off to everyone she knew. Amy loved the congregation at The Rock Church in Bangor, where she found and embraced her Christianity. Amy was a loving caregiver in the home health field, an amazing mother, caring daughter, wonderful sister and a great aunt! She will be missed by all who knew her: family, friends and clients alike! She was predeceased by her doting and loving mother, Shirley Delcourt McAvoy; grandparents George and Hazel McAvoy, and Leopold and Irene Delcourt; uncles David McAvoy, Ralph McAvoy, Philip Delcourt; aunt Cecile Delcourt. Amy is survived by son Brandon Thomas Aaron Pinkham; ex-husband Brandon Pinkham; loving father Brian McAvoy; sisters Christina McAvoy, Angel McAvoy; brother Brian McAvoy II; uncles George McAvoy Jr., Wayne McAvoy, Richard McAvoy, Peter McAvoy; aunts Sharon McAvoy Barrowclough, Anne Delcourt Houle, Anita Delcourt Davis, Nancy Delcourt Sarette; nephews Brayden McAvoy, Michael McAvoy, Joseph McAvoy; nieces Brianna McAvoy, Adrianna Paquette; many dearly loved cousins. Although she sleeps her memory lives on! A memorial service will be held 4 PM, Saturday, March 14, 2020, at The Rock Church, 1195 Ohio St., Bangor. Burial will take place at a later time.
