Brewer - Shirley A. Clowes, 84, passed away on March 12, 2020 in Bangor. She was born March 24, 1935 in Bangor to Nicholas and Lena (Murray) Deluca. Shirley was a member of St. Teresa’s Catholic Church in Brewer where she was a choir member. She enjoyed gardening, playing the piano and cooking. She worked at Wing Park Children’s Center where her love for children shined. Shirley later went on to enjoy a career at Sears Roebuck and Company. Shirley is survived by her granddaughter, Alexandra J. Clowes of Holden. She was predeceased by her husband of 47 years, Cecil V. Clowes and her son, Michael D. Clowes.Alexandra would like to thank the staff at Ross Manor for their excellent care. She would also like to thank Shirley’s friends, the Willette family, for the love and friendship they gave to her grandmother. A graveside committal service at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor will be held at a later date at a time to be announced. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Resident Activity Fund at Ross Manor, 758 Broadway, Bangor.
