Obituary of Walter A. Wilcox
Walter A. “Bub” Wilcox
Levant – Walter A. “Bub” Wilcox, 60, died unexpectedly, Mar 4, 2016 in Bangor after a brief, courageous battle with cancer. He was born Feb. 23, 1956 in Bangor, the son of Paul Jackson and Sylvia (Hatch).
Bub enjoyed spending time with family and friends fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, camping racing at Speedway 95 and Unity and enjoyed watching Nascar with the kids. He loved running his mud truck at mid coast mud runs with Eddie, Dakota, Faith and his wife, Ann and his “Mud” family. He was very grateful for all the help and support from his amazing family and friends. Bub was very hard working and did what he had to in providing for his family. He also tried everything he could to help his friends. He would even lend an extra hand to a complete stranger without expecting anything in return. Bub was always the one to put a smile on your face with his jokes and crazy gestures. You couldn’t have asked for a more kind hearted soul. His time came way to early but he is in a better place looking down on all of us. He will be deeply missed by many.
In addition to his wife of 36 years, Ann M. (Lindsey) Wilcox, Bub is survived by his sons, Eddie and Dakota Wilcox; his daughters, Faith and Tanya Wilcox; special granddaughter, Scarlette Lynn; his mother, Sylvia Jackson; his sister, Pam Smith and his brother, Charles Wilcox. He was predeceased by his father, Paul Jackson and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Edward and Verla Lindsey.
