Bangor – James L. Drew, 47, husband of Danielle Drew, died July 8, 2020 at his home in Bangor. He was born Sept. 27, 1972 in Bangor, the son of Paul F. Drew and Eleanor G. (Crawford) Drew Emery. James was a graduate of Hermon High School, Class of 1991 and worked as a firefighter in Hermon from 1989 to 2007 achieving the lieutenant rank and later was deputy chief for Etna from 2012 to 2020. James was also vice president of the Red Knights, Maine Chapter 11. Surviving in addition to his wife of Bangor are his children, Keely Drew of Bangor, Justina Morin and her husband, Kyle of Hermon, Trever Parent of Bangor, two special sons, Tim MacDougall and Keegan Fish; grandchildren, Paitlyn Beal and Jaylan Morin; his mother Eleanor Emery of Hermon; two sisters, Mary Drew of Hermon and Buffie Drew of Alton; nieces and nephews. James was predeceased by his father and by his stepfather, Arthur “Jack” Emery. A time to celebrate his life will be held 1 PM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at the Hermon Snowmobile Club, Hermon. There will also be a Red Knights Maine Chapter 11 remembrance ride that will be accepting donations in support of James’ family and will begin 10 AM Saturday, July 25, 2020 at Glenburn Fire Department, Glenburn. Those participating should arrive at 9 AM.

Red Knights Maine Chapter 11 remembrance ride will begin at 10 AM from the Glenburn Fire Department, Glenburn. Those participating are asked to arrive at 9 AM.
