Obituary of Tessie R. Myrick

Tessie R. (Gordon) Myrick, 81, went home to be with the Lord October 11, 2020 in Lincoln. She was born May 16, 1939 in Winn, the daughter of Harold and Helen (Strout) Gordon. Tessie worked as a commercial cleaner for Stillwater Hospital for many years and later for Ross Manor and Colonial Acres. She loved socializing with patients as she cleaned and made many friends. She love to play UNO, Yatzee and doing crossword puzzles but she especially loved reading her Bible and going to church. Tessie was predeceased by her parents, by a brother, Timothy and by two sisters, Beverly and Marie. Surviving are a brother, Harold Gordon, Jr. and his wife, Joyce of Orrington; a sister, Hope Delia and her husband, Danny of New York; a daughter, Valerie Butler and her husband, Philip of Plymouth and by a son, John Myrick of Bangor; two grandchildren, Tanya and Eric; three great grandchildren, Isaac, Drew and Madilynn; several nieces and nephews. Tessie’s family gratefully thanks the staff of Colonial Acres in Lincoln for their excellent care. A graveside service will be held 1 PM Friday, Oct. 23, 2020 at Park Street Cemetery, Lincoln with Pastor David Bean, presiding.
