Lana Jean Coventry

September 25, 1951-December 15, 2020

Beloved mother, sister and friend

Lana Jean Coventry was reunited with her husband, Roger Paul Coventry, and the Lord Father in Heaven on December 15 when she passed away at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor, Maine after a long illness.

Mrs. Coventry was born in Island Falls, Maine on September 25, 1951, the daughter of the late Frederick and Betsy Humphrey. Her fondest memories were spent crafting, volunteering on various church committees, riding on the back of motorcycles, line dancing, playing cards with friends, and spending time with her daughter and granddogs on the Maine coast. Mrs. Coventry lived her life guided by an unyielding faith. She will be remembered most for her fiery spirit, witty sense of humor, gift for gab that helped her make friends wherever she went, fierce loyalty to friends and family, and her charitable heart that was always willing to help another.

She is survived by her only daughter, Stacey Renee Coventry of Bangor, Maine, who has inherited her bold nature, generous heart, sense of humor, and her smile. She is also survived by two brothers, Terence Humphrey and his wife, Elaine, of Gilbert, Arizona and Gary Humphrey of Prospect, Connecticut, along with her “sister of the heart” Audrey Katz of Waterbury, Connecticut. She is survived by several nieces, nephews and great nephews as well. In addition to her husband, she is also predeceased by her brothers Paul and Kirby Humphrey.

A small private service will be held in the spring for friends and family. Those wishing to acknowledge their condolences to her family and celebrate memories of her life can send them to Kiley & Foley, 69 State St., Brewer, ME 04412 or or at kileyandfoley.com.

In lieu of flowers, those who were inspired by and would like to honor her life can make a charitable gift in her memory to a nonprofit of their choice. She had a particular affinity to organization’s whose mission helped children and youth in need.
