Gertrude C. Gallant, passed away peacefully Wednesday, Jan. 27, 2021 in Bangor with her family at her side.  She was born Sept 27, 1930 in Rumford, the daughter of the late Gertrude and Frank Jannace.

Gertrude was a communicant of St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Bangor for many years.

Surviving are three children, Joseph F. Gallant of Bangor, Cynthia A. Growe and her husband Gary of Bangor and Nancy C. Hanley and her husband, Michael of Englewood, FL; one granddaughter, Carrie Anne Scobie and her husband, Brent of Hampden; great grandchildren, Claire, Collin and Ethan Scobie; sisters, Rosalie Bernard and her husband, Fred of Lewiston and Sandra Perry and her husband, David of Westbrook; many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by her husband of 48 years, Joseph A. Gallant.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 11 AM Monday, Feb. 1, 2021 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Mary’s Catholic Church, 768 Ohio St., Bangor and will be livestreamed on the parish website HERE . Burial will be afterward at Mt. Pleasant Catholic Cemetery, Bangor. In lieu of flowers, those who wish may make memorial contributions to All Saints Catholic School, PO Box 1749, Bangor, ME  04402.
