Obituary of William Russell Bennison

Bangor, ME and Norwalk, OH--On Tuesday, April 6, 2021, William (Bill) Russell Bennison, loving brother and son, passed away at the age of 39.

 

Bill was born November 21, 1981, on Travis Air Force Base in Vacaville, CA, to Jay Bennison and Martha Leonard.  He graduated from Norwalk High School in 2000.  He served in the U.S. Army from 2000 to 2002 and was honorably discharged.  Bill enjoyed video games, craft beer, science fiction, and Star Wars.  He is remembered by his friend’s as goofy and unique.  He was always there for his friends and family.

 

He was predeceased by grandfathers, Vernon Bennison, William (Bill) Whittington, and Wesley Leonard; grandmother, Helen Leonard; and various uncles and aunts.  Bill is survived by his mother Martha Leonard;  father Jay Bennison; sister Jennifer Bennison and husband Joshua Stamper; nieces and nephews Sylvia, Chase, and Aaden; grandmother, Jane Whittington; several aunts, uncles, and cousins. 

 

Donations may be sent to a place where Bill spent his time, Hope House Health and Living Center, 179 Corporate Drive, Bangor, ME 04401.
