Obituary of Jason Andrew Smith
Jason Andrew Smith, 49, died unexpectedly June 28, 2021 in Bangor. He was born April 4, 1972 in Boothbay Harbor, the son of Phillip S. and Margaret “Trudy” Smith.
Jason was a graduate of MDI High School and attended Mount Ida College, Hudson College and served four years with the US Army. He enjoyed singing, dancing, and acting, in many high school shows and with the Gilbert and Sullivan Society of Maine. He enjoyed performing medieval reenactments with Society of Creative Anachronism (SCA). Jason had compassion and a caring heart for individuals with special needs. His smile lit up a room and if he was with you, you felt safe and secure.
Surviving in addition to his parents of Bar Harbor are three children, Victoria (Tori), Alexandra (Lexie) and Andrew all of Florida; his girlfriend, Christy Marin and her daughter Ashley of Bangor; his grandmother, Mary Smith of Bar Harbor; his sister, Lindsay Cough and her husband, Joe of Waldoboro; three nephews, Orion Wilson, Gordon and Gregor Cough; aunts, uncles and many cousins.
