Obituary of Kim Linda Marie Elwell
Kim Deschaine Elwell, 60, passed away quietly on September 10, 2021, at her residence, after battling long lasting illness.
Kim was born and raised in Madawaska until High School, where she then resided in Searsport. She dedicated her early years to working in healthcare as a CNA, PSS, and enjoying family life with her husband Dave Elwell and daughter Nicole. As Kim’s illnesses progressed, she never complained, but became a beacon of love and encouragement for others. She spent countless hours writing letters to her mother, siblings, nieces, nephews, and friends. Her trademark penmanship and loving words of hope and encouragement are synonymous to Kim’s care and compassion she showered on others. Through her illness she never once complained and would place the needs of others before her own. She was an inspiration to us all. Her heart was definitely at the right place.
She is survived by her mother, Gisele Morin Deschaine of Montreal; daughter, Nicole Elwell Dwyer of Florida; sisters, Gina Stone and husband Tom of Deerfield, MA, Michele Landry of St. Basil, New Brunswick; brothers Rodney Deschaine and wife Joy of Van Buren, Daniel Deschaine and wife Lori of Presque Isle; nieces and nephews Melissa, Christina, Aaron, Sarah, Nika, Kilian, Joshua, William, Gabrielle, Jacinta, Danika, Emmanuel, Mikail, Xavier, Adriana, and Alex Andria.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at a later date at St. Bruno-St Remi Catholic Church in Van Buren. Messages and memories may be shared at kileyandfoley.com
