Obituary of Dorothy A. Carmichael
Dorothy A. Carmichael, 71, wife of Joseph B. Carmichael, went to be with her Lord and Savior Sept. 23, 2021. Dotti, as she was known, was born April 1, 1950 to Hervey and Ola (Campbell) Farley at their homestead on a country road in Woodland, Maine. From the age of two, Dotti traveled all over Aroostook County proudly singing gospel songs with her Daddy in churches and tent meetings. Dotti graduated Caribou High School Class of 1968 and eventually moved to East Millinocket to raise her family. She continued singing to the Lord all over New England, her most treasured years being 1988 through 2010 as a part of the gospel trio, Radiance, with her dear friends Joanie and Merlita. In recent years,Dotti made her home in Corinth and has been the warm, smiling face greeting the patients of Ames Chiropractic Wellness Centers in Lincoln and Bangor. Dotti enjoyed summer days with her family on Branch Lake and hosting the family holiday gatherings. There was always a bed being offered to stay and no one ever left her table hungry or without a slice of her homemade apple pie or cream puffs. Most of all, Dotti loved the Lord with all her heart and she prayed, sang and praised Him daily and is now singing with the heavenly angels.
Dotti will be greatly missed by her husband Joe; her children, Bobbi Dauphinee and her husband, Greg, Melanie McLaughlin and her husband, Terry, Adam Lazore and his girlfriend, Jessica, and Charlie Lazore and his wife Manna; her stepsons, Adam, Chad, Ryan and Christopher Carmichael; her five grandchildren whom are her greatest joy, Kaija and Gabriel Lazore, Kurt Fernald, and Joshua and Jaxson Dauphinee; five siblings, Carroll Farley and his wife, Brenda, Wayne Farley and his wife, Cindy, Myrna Miller, Robin Poitras and her husband, Ken, Jeffrey Farley; a brother-in-law, Michael Cain; and many nieces and nephews.
