Brenda Ouellette

Obituary of Brenda Ann Ouellette

Please share a memory of Brenda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

It is with sadness we announce the peaceful passing of Brenda A. Ouellette in the early morning hours of Oct. 27, 2021. Brenda was born December 12, 1960 in Bangor, to Jules Ouellette and Rita (Bunker) Ouellette Comer.

Brenda grew up in Hampden as the youngest child of several brothers and one sister. She attended a special needs school and, with family support, learned to read and write and later became a talented artist as well. She enjoyed bowling, bingo, card games, word search, puzzles, scary movies, shot put and swimming. She worked at Phoenix Industries for several years until mobility issues caused her to retire. She received several medals from Special Olympics until ongoing health problems prevented her from full participation. Brenda had a sparkling, mischievous personality and loved to play practical jokes on others to gauge their reaction. Her laughter lit up the room when someone discovered her playful antics. She was also deeply compassionate toward family and friends and quick to console someone in need.

She was predeceased by her parents and Lawrence Comer; a brother, Daniel Ouellette; a sister, Julie Comer; two nieces, Jennifer Deacon and Mahgen Ouellette and a very special cousin, Anne Marie McCarthy.

She will be deeply missed by surviving siblings and spouses, Gerald and Loretta Ouellette, Anthony Ouellette, Deborah (Ouellette) and Carl Peterson, Christopher and Lorraine Ouellette, Sylvia (Comer) and her husband, Dana Tavares, Jeanine (Comer) Dye, Diane (Comer) and husband, Raul Zagarra, Larry and Max Comer and many other family and friends. She will be especially missed by her longtime boyfriend and companion, Carl Tripp.

Brenda’s family offers a very special thank you for the loving care and support given to Brenda while she resided for 22 years through Branches, LLC.

A gathering in remembrance of Brenda will be announced at a later date. Arrangements are trusted to Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. Messages and memories may be shared with her family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
