Obituary of Timothy Joseph Tremble
BREWER - Timothy Joseph Tremble, “TJ” to many, and “Beepa”, “Grampy TJ”, and “Dad” to some of those he loved best, went home to be with his Savior, at Northern Light Eastern Maine Medical Center in Bangor on Tuesday, Dec. 21, 2021. He was born Nov. 13, 1956 in Bangor, the son of Joan (Eslin) Tremble.
A dedicated family man, TJ was a loving son, son-in-law and husband; a considerate, bantering brother and uncle; and a doting and fiercely proud father and grandfather. Recently retired from a life spent both in print and broadcast news, TJ was a journalist in the finest sense: energetic on the beat, steadfast in pursuit of the truth, and enthusiastic about mentoring and developing junior reporters. He loved Maine, and away from work was content reading a detective or spy novel, playing bocce at the family camp on Beech Hill Pond, fly fishing on the Allagash, or hiking Downeast, among other things, always in the company of loved ones. TJ and his wife Janine could often be found cheering on the Black Bears at Alfond Arena, enjoying dinner at Pepino’s with various friends, and sharing pictures and stories of their grandchildren with anyone willing to listen. He was also a man of lifelong deep faith, and worshipped with fellow parishioners at Calvary Chapel in Orrington.
TJ is survived by his wife of nearly 25 years, Janine; son Seth, wife Blythe and their children Tory and Adelaide; son Taylor; daughter Kaileigh, husband Jeremy and their children Lila and Logan; mother Joan; brother David and wife Donna; brother Tom and wife Kim; brother Dan and wife Molly; sister-in-law Elaine; father- and mother-in-law, Glen and Lorraine; several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his brother Michael.
A celebration of TJ’s life will be held 1 PM, Monday, December 27, 2021, at Calvary Chapel, 154 River Road, Orrington, with Pastor Ken Graves officiating. A reception will immediately follow the service at the church. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Calvary Residential Discipleship/Blessed Hope at 154 River Road, Orrington, ME 04474 or Crossroads Christian Camp, 33 Baldy Road, Bradley, ME 04428, or to a charity meaningful to you.
