Obituary of Norman E. Taylor
Norman E. Taylor, 76, went home to be with the Lord, March 5, 2022 in Bangor. He was born in Cumberland, Maine April 13, 1945, the son of John E. Taylor and Anna M. (Grubb) Taylor.
Norman grew up in Cumberland with ten brothers and sisters and graduated from Greely Institute in 1963. In 1967, Norman married Elizabeth A. Jenkins and they had three beloved children, Catherine A. Hanscom, Jeffrey N. Taylor and Susan M. Belz and also has eight grandchildren, Evan, Jon, Stephen, Josh and Maria Taylor, Charles Hanscom, Brooke and Erica Belz who were the light of his life.
He worked 45 years in the telecommunications industry and retired in 2015.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated 12 Noon Saturday, March 12, 2022 at St. Paul the Apostle Parish, St. Joseph Catholic Church, 531 North Main St., Brewer. A reception will be immediately afterward. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude’s Childrens Hospital at stjude.org, to Smile Train at smiletrain.org or to any pro-life organization. His favorite saying was, “If you want to see the face of God just look into the face of a child”. My heart aches and cries for all the beautiful aborted babies around the world. I hope I meet them some day to tell them how much I love them.
