Obituary of Leroy Martin Nowell
PENOBSCOT - Leroy "Marty" Nowell, 57, husband of the late Keileen "Kiki" Nowell, passed June 5, 2022, in Blue Hill after a 8 month illness. He was born March 17, 1965, in Bangor, the son of Leroy M. and Marcia E. (Cutler) Nowell Sr.
Marty attended school in Hampden and worked for Greenway Equipment Sales, Hermon for more than 20 years. Marty was an avid fishermen and overall outdoor enthusiast, who loved "making memories" with his children and grandchildren.
Surviving are his four children, Sarah Nowell of Frankfort, Michael Nowell and his wife, Hannah, of Penobscot, Lillian Rudnicki and her husband, Kyle, of Carmel, and Olivia Slater and her husband, Morgan, of Carmel; eight grandchildren with one soon to be; one sister, Shelly Felix-Rodriguez and her husband, Felix, of Leominster, MA. He was predeceased by his parents and by his wife in 2014.
A graveside service honoring Leroy's life will be held 2 p.m. Monday, June 13, 2022, at Birch Grove Cemetery, Merryman Road, Glenburn. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to American Brain Tumor Association.
