Obituary of Linda F. Demmons
Bangor & Hermon - Linda F. (Brooks) Demmons, 77, wife of the late Dennis E. Demmons, Sr., died June 15, 2022 in Bangor after a brief period of declining health. She was born June 5, 1945 in Bangor the daughter of Charles and Lorraine (Ashe) Brooks.
Linda was an avid fan of the Red Sox. The only reason she would miss a game was for family or friends, all of whom she loved dearly. Linda took great pride in her titles of sister, mom, nana, aunt, and friend. She was even known to introduce herself as nana to her grandchildren’s friends and loved ones. Part of her family was her cat Maggie who had been with her since the passing of her husband, Dennis. Linda has always affected the lives of those around her. Although she was an introvert, she ran a daycare from her home for families in the area off and on throughout her adult life. Later in her life, she volunteered at EMMC cuddling NICU babies and she loved being able to help them. Linda loved her garden and fresh flowers. We ask that in memory of Linda, bring fresh flowers from your garden, if you have one, to the service.
A devoted wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother, Linda is survived by two children, Dennis E. Demmons, Jr. and his wife, Kimberly, Kelly Price and her husband, Derek; three grandchildren, Kasey Levesque and her husband, Shawn of Bangor, Jody Lagasse and her husband, Josh of Wells, Lily Price of Bangor; five great grandchildren, Riley and Owen Davis, Peyton Levesque, Alyssa and Julia Lagasse; two brothers, Charles “Chip” Brooks and his wife, Sherry of Veazie and Pat Gunn and his wife, Norma of Hampden; several nieces, nephews and many cousins.
