Obituary of Earline Lou Good

Earline Lou Good, 81, passed peacefully into Eternal Life Aug. 12, 2022 in Brewer, ME. She was born April 27, 1941 in Newport, ME. the daughter of Earl C. and Blanche A. (Rowe) Wilson.

Earline attended schools in Newport, Etna, Dixmont and Bangor and graduated from Bangor High School in in 1960. She was a dedicated homemaker and wife for 20 years while working various jobs babysitting, housekeeping and waitressing. Then, with the encouragement of the Displaced Homemakers Association, Earline attended the Univ. of Maine, Augusta and transferred to Univ. of Maine Farmington earning a bachelor’s degree in learning disabilities and elementary education. She taught for 21 years in the resource room with East Grand Schools, Danforth retiring in 2005. Earline served on the board of the Danforth Habilitation Assoc, was a member of the Maine Network for Special Ed, and she volunteered for Eastern Maine Medical Center. Earline had a lifelong love for reading and was an avid quilter, making amazing, beautiful quilts for family, friends and charity.

Surviving are three children, Clarence Good and his wife, Araceli of California, Dawn Hunt and her husband, Denis of Florida, and Christopher Good of Bangor; four grandchildren, Timothy, Brittney, Brayden Good of CA and Jennifer Hunt of WA; great grandchildren, Willow, Rowen, and Hazel Good of CA; brother, Stephen Wilson of VT, and half siblings Manira, Tamira, and Jim Wilson.

In addition to her parents, Earline was predeceased by her husband Jon B. Good, twin sisters Jeanne Baillargeon and Joanne LeBlanc; brother Donn Wilson, infant daughter Jennifer Rose and son Gregory Good.

A graveside service will be held 11:30 AM Friday, Aug. 19, 2022 at Riverside Cemetery, Ridge Road, Newport. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to the East Grand Teachers Assoc.
