Obituary of Kevin D. Perkins

Please share a memory of Kevin to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.

Kevin D. Perkins, 60, husband of the late Julie A. Perkins, died Oct. 15, 2022 in Bangor after a brief illness. He was born April 29, 1962 in Bangor, the son of Earl D. and Earlene E. (Pelton) Perkins.

Kevin was a 1980 graduate of Bucksport High School and worked for LaVerdiere’s Drug Store and later Rite Aid for many years. He had currently been working for EBS/Hammond Lumber in purchasing since 1997. In his free time, Kevin loved listening to his music, being surrounded by his family and walking his dog, Hedi, through the neighborhood in Veazie. He always made sure to detour to Las Vegas to see his life-long best friend, Brian LaBree if he was ever traveling west for business. He will be remembered for his unmistakable laugh, potent margaritas and quiet but strong demeanor.

Surviving in addition to his father of Bucksport are one son, Matthew Perkins and his soon-to-be wife, Sheri DiMauro of Bangor; a brother, Jay Perkins and his fiancée, Cheryl Daigle of Frenchville and his sister, Patti Perkins of Bucksport; two sisters-in-law, Suzanne Brown and her husband, Bruce of Stetson and Carol Jenkinson and her husband, Bill of Lakeville, Mass; several nieces and nephews. Kevin was predeceased by his wife Julie in 2021, by his mother in March and by his nephew, Daniel Hanscom in 2021.

Services will be private and announced at a later date. Arrangements by Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, Bangor and Brewer. Messages and memories may be shared with her family on the tribute wall of kileyandfoley.com.
