Obituary of Reina A. Boudreau
Reina A. Boudreau, 82, wife of the late Avery A. Boudreau, died Oct. 15, 2022 in Bangor. She was born Dec. 3, 1939 in Castine, the daughter of Lewis L. and Elizabeth (Whitney) Megquier. Reina was a dedicated homemaker and assisted in the school department while her children were growing up. She went back to school and graduated from Andover College in 1979 with an Associate Degree in business administration. Reina married Avery Boudreau in 1985 and during their retirement they traveled from Orrington to Texas eventually settling and living in Orrington. She dearly loved her family especially her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Reina was a longtime member of East Orrington Congregational Church. She was passionate about her affiliation with Operation Christmas Child and her involvement with them culminated in a mission trip to Ukraine in 2018.
Surviving are her children, Bob Mitchell and his wife, Helen Temple of Marion, MA, Randy Mitchell and his wife, Lori of Augusta, Roxanne Germain her husband, David of Alford, MA and Roger Mitchell and his wife, Karen of Union; grandchildren, Erika, Jackson, and Elizabeth “Libbey”, Christopher, Erica and Jessica, Lauren, Hannah and Marina, Jared, Christopher, Holly, Josh, Zach, Erik and Graci; 16 Great Grandchildren; Aiden and Austin, Alyssa, Kaitlin and Killian, Olivia, Rexlee and Everly, Dominic, Brendan and Ellie, Thomas, Matthew and Elliott, Charlotte and Callan; her siblings, Karen Pierce of South Portland, Rodney Megquier and his wife, Pat of Yarmouth and Betty deBree and her husband, Bruce of York SC; a stepdaughter, Vicki Turner and her husband, Philip Philbrick of Hampton Falls, NH and their children Brad, Greg and Marcy; 8 step great grandchildren; nieces, nephews and cousins. She was predeceased by her husband and her parents.
A service honoring and celebrating Reina’s life will be held 11 AM Wednesday October 19, 2022 at East Orrington Congregational Church, Johnson Mill Road, Orrington with Rev. Carl Schreiber, pastor, presiding. A gathering time will be held immediately afterward in the church reception hall. Burial will be at Maine Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Mt. Vernon Road, Augusta at a later date. For those who wish, memorial contributions may be made to EOCC Mission Board/OCC, 38 Johnson Mill Road, Orrington, ME 04474.
