Obituary of Frank Loveless Carr

BANGOR – Frank L. Carr, 82, passed away peacefully November 12, 2022.  He was born February 18, 1940, in Stillwater, the son of William and Laura (Long) Carr. 

 

For many years, Frank worked at Sampson’s Supermarket.  He later worked for Bangor International Airport and as a screening manager for TSA at BIA.  He was an avid New England sports fan, especially his beloved Boston Red Sox.  One of Frank’s greatest moments was escorting the Red Sox World Series trophy through BIA.

 

He was predeceased by his parents; sister Edith Dalton; sister-in-law Rebecca Carr.  Frank is survived by his wife of 61 years, Sara Beth (Leighton) Carr; son Kevin Carr and wife Melinda of South Portland; daughter Kathy Carr of Bangor; brother Bill Carr of Bangor; sister-in-law Bobbi Curtis and husband David; nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great-grandchildren; extended family Joan, Milt Kirk, and sons. 

 

In lieu of flowers, and in honor of Frank’s love for the Red Sox, donations in his memory are requested to be made to The Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, 6th Floor, Brookline, MA  02445-7226.

 

A memorial service will be held 1 P.M. Friday, November 18, 2022, at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer.  Messages and memories may be shared with the family at kileyandfoley.com
