Obituary of Kimberly Ann Provost
Kimberly Ann Provost, 63, passed away unexpectedly November 25, 2022, at a Bangor hospital. She was the daughter of Charles Arthur Provost and Alice Mae (King) Provost,
Kimmy was born October 31, 1959, in Bangor. After moving to Massachusetts and Rhode Island, the family settled in Brewer where Kim lived happily until her passing. She attended the UCP School in Bangor for many years and finished her formal education at Brewer Middle School. In 1996, Kimmy became of the first people to attend the day program at Amicus, where she blossomed. She never wanted to miss “group” and was even there two days before she passed. At Amicus, she made lifelong friends and had many adventures. She also spent a week every summer at her beloved Camp Capella with her special cousin Roseanne. They had so much fun! Kim was thrilled to drive the boat!
Kimmy was a social butterfly loved by all who met her. Her bright smile touched many lives and her hugs were legendary. She loved family, friends, bowling, peanut butter cups, chocolate milkshakes, turtlenecks, little dogs that she could carry, and her babies Milo (“little guy”), Violet (“little girl”), and Eloise (“the baby”). Just weeks before her passing, she discovered a new found passion for large sweet iced coffee from Dunkin. Who knew?!
Kim is survived by her mother, Alice Provost of Brewer; brother Stephen Provost of Brewer; sister Julie King and husband Danny of Orrington; nieces Morgan Grifasi and husband Sam of Orrington, Michelle Stinsman and husband John of Orrington, Mikaela King of Bangor; nephews Matthew King and wife Jennifer of Orrington, Michael King of Orrington; aunt Elizabeth Masse (“Aunt Betty”) of Manchester, NH; longtime best friend Debbie Towle; many much loved cousins. She was predeceased by her father, Charles Provost; sister-in-law Laurie Piper-Provost; several aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Kimmy will be missed by all who knew her but her smile and loving spirit will always live on in our hearts.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations please be made to her favorite place: Camp Capella, P.O. Box 552, Holden, ME 04429.
