Stan was such an amazing volunteer and friend. He dedicated over 1,582 hours of his life to Furry Friends Food Bank. He always spoke so highly of his family and friends and was quick to share his expertise on a variety of subjects he was well versed in. He was a mentor to other volunteers and was loved by all of the staff at EAAA. We will miss him dearly.

I have had the true joy of volunteering and being friends with Stan for almost five years. He was my best friend! Stan was a wonderful human being, and such a good person! I will never forget all the kindness and caring that Stan gave me! Upon arriving at work, Stan would cheerfully say, "How's Robin?" After I replied, I would say, "How's Stan?"It was nice to be greeted so cheerfully! Sometimes, when I would come to work feeling down, being around Stan would always cheer me up! He was such a positive and cheerful person! He was a very, giving person, also. He would bring in enough food at lunch, so he could share his lunch with me, food that he had prepared himself. In the summer, he would bring me all kinds of delicious vegetables, from his garden, and apples, too! Once a month, after the food distribution, he would always have pizza for he and I to eat at lunch. The fact that he thought to do all this for me was just incredible! But that was who Stan was, a person always thinking of others. His kindness meant a great deal to me, that's for sure! Stan was a very hard worker and working with him was delightful! We had many interesting conversations, sometimes about his life and his family. I know that he was proud of his granddaughter. Stan had a great sense of humor. We had a lot of laugh's. When we were dividing up the cat food and packaging it, it was inevitable that some cat food would make it's way to the floor. I would say," Stan, we are making quite a mess.". Stan would say," Well, we got to do what we're good at." This always made me laugh. And Stan was right! We were good at making a mess, but we always cleaned it up. My heart goes out to Geraldine, Marian, and Brianna. I am so sorry! I know that he loved you all! I miss Stan so much! It will never be the same, volunteering without him, without my best friend! He is not replaceable! I will always be grateful for the time I got to spend with him, and being able to know such a wonderful and genuinely kind and caring person. I will NEVER forget him! Thanks Stan, for everything!!
