Obituary of Scott Clark Fraser
Scott C. Fraser, 58, died unexpectedly October 28, 2023 in a Bangor hospital after a brief illness. He was born June 24, 1965 in Bangor and was a 1984 graduate of Brewer High School where he met many of his lifelong friends and excelled at post-graduate football at MCI in Pittsfield, Maine. Scott lived in Brewer for nearly his entire life, where he was a caregiver in recent years for his mother.
Scott was an avid sports fan, and amassed a special collection of baseball cards, sports memorabilia, and other collectibles over his lifetime. He followed the New England Patriots, the Boston Red Sox and regularly watched professional football and collegiate basketball. He enjoyed special times at the casino in Bangor, and in Las Vegas. He had a special love for cars and recreational toys, including his BMW, Sea-Doo’s, and Harley-Davidson. Scott was an old-school rock music fan of the likes of Van Halen, the Scorpions, 38 Special and Sammy Hagar, often citing their lyrics when telling his famed stories with a boisterous and infectious laugh. He saw the shows and met many of his guitar heroes, and even played the guitar in his younger years.
If you knew Scotty, you were familiar with his oft-used phrase, while donning dark sunglasses, that he was “Ridin, Stylin’, Profilin’ and Limousine-Ridin!” Scott loved life and lived it to the fullest.
Scott was predeceased by his parents, father Ralph Fraser, in 2011, and mother Mary-Ellen Fraser in 2021, and special friends Bruce Faulkner and Richard Geaghan.
Surviving are his beloved daughter, Madison Glidden and her mother Charlene Glidden of Falmouth; one brother, Donald Fraser and his wife, Tania; nephews, nieces, cousins, aunts and uncles. Scott had many lifelong friends, and was adopted family to all, including Ronnie Robertson, Stanley Worcester, Pat Geaghan, the Largay boys, Clint Lawson, Gregory Bailey and others. He will be sadly missed by many.
A visitation and time to honor and celebrate Scott’s life will be held 4 – 6 PM Tuesday, November 21, 2023 at Kiley & Foley Funeral Service, 69 State St., Brewer. Please share a message with his family HERE on the tribute wall.
