Obituary of Armand M. Pelletier
Armand “Pitou” Pelletier, 73, passed peacefully June 5, 2024 at a local health care facility. He was born in Grand Isle, Maine to Merdrick and Jeanne Pelletier. He married the love of his life, Lorraine LaPierre in 1975. They met on a blind date and he always said she blinded him from the first time he met her and was still blind to this day. They moved to Bangor in 1985 for employment and he always worked carpentry and maintenance. He could tackle any project and Lorraine referred to him as “Rent a Husband” always helping out her friends. His pride and joy were his homes of which he had a few and was always proud of them with beautiful landscapes and gardens. He always panicked when his basements were completed because Lorraine would turn around and sell their home. He was always active until a few years ago when Parkinson’s Disease and Afib took over. The neighbors would always ask “does he ever stop?” The answer was no, but they slowly saw him fading. Armand had a great life.
He leaves behind his wife Lorraine of 48 years; brothers and sisters, Gloria and husband Jerry, Joanne Guimond, Marie Lagassey, Ann Marie Cayer and husband Bicky, Gerald and wife Gayle, Claude and wife Vickie, Lionel and wife Jane and Don and wife Paulette. He leaves a brother-in-law, Rod LaPierre and his wife, Linda; many nieces and nephews too many to list. Armand also had two special people that he called his surrogate kids, Scott and Cara Lavertu. He loved them like they were his own.
